Retinal Imaging and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
This special high resolution digital camera allows the doctor to visualize the back of your eye in greater detail. Optical Coherence Tomography is a non-invasive test similar to an ultrasound, which provides the doctor with a 3 dimensional view of the different layers of the retina. This enables earlier detection and clearer diagnosis of many conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy and macular holes. It also provides a valuable baseline for continued monitoring and management of your retinal health.
